This is a sedimentary deposit formed as far back as the Lower Jurassic Period, when the erosion of the earth’s crust began, leading to the eroded materials being deposited in a sedimentary basin that, owing to the effects of metamorphism and the passage of time, have been transformed to result in what today we know as Spanish Gold or Amarillo Marés. This Natural Stone is a compact, fine-grained marble limestone in a mustard-yellow hue. Spanish Gold presents irregularly distributed calcite veins and occasional inclusions of small reddish seams.
