Travertine colours Travertino Clásico

Travertino Clásico is perhaps the Natural Stone to have been used the longest throughout history as a construction material.

With its light beige colour, this material has been used to build some of the most iconic buildings of ancient Roman civilisation. Travertino Clásico is available in a natural, polished, bush-hammered or aged finish. It can also be cut in two ways, vein or fleuri, which significantly change its appearance. The main use of Travertino Clásico is in construction, particularly as flooring and wall cladding. This Natural Stone can achieve various different decorative effects depending on its cut and finish.

Travertine and its applications

Finishes

The natural surface of travertine permits different finishes, depending on its use or application.

Polished

The most characteristic finish, one that achieves an inimitable effect that reflects light and objects like a mirror.

Honed

This finish gives the stone greater character and prominence when laid. It reflects the light, but with lower reflection. The surface is smooth.

Aged

A special treatment gives it a texture that enhances the natural properties of the stone and the aesthetic force of its seams. The surface is somewhat irregular.

Rough

The stone is presented in its natural state both in colour and in texture.
